Custom Calendar System
A WordPress event system built with custom post types, ACF fields, and Gutenberg blocks.
Each project starts by finding the real bottleneck, then building a better system around it.

The Problem
The Events Calendar was more than the project needed and forced event data into a structure that was hard to query, migrate, and style.
The Solution
The solution was to build a cleaner system around the real workflow instead of forcing the work into a clunky off-the-shelf setup.
- Custom post type for events
- ACF field structure
- Query loop event lists
- Gutenberg block calendar view
- List and calendar tab layout
- Flexible date/time field support
How the Solution Works
Events are stored as normal WordPress content with custom fields. The frontend can show events in lists, tabs, or a calendar grid without forcing the site into a heavy calendar plugin’s data model.
Tools Used
Why the Solution Matters
"The client gets easier event management, better control over fields, and less plugin lock-in."
