Event Scraper Workflow
An n8n workflow for collecting event data and sending it into a WordPress publishing system.
Each project starts by finding the real bottleneck, then building a better system around it.

The Problem
Event-heavy websites often rely on manual copying from multiple calendars, event pages, RSS feeds, and source sites. That process takes time and creates inconsistent data.
The Solution
The solution was to build a cleaner system around the real workflow instead of forcing the work into a clunky off-the-shelf setup.
- Scheduled n8n event source checker
- Active source filtering
- RSS and HTML source handling
- Event URL fetching
- Event parsing logic
- WordPress API connection
- Official event pull endpoint
How the Solution Works
The workflow runs on a schedule, checks current event sources in WordPress, filters active sources, decides whether each source is RSS or HTML, reads event data, parses usable information, and sends the results back into the Fort Worth Key event system.
